For 16 years, Dan Waldeck has been an irreplaceable component of one of the most successful women's basketball programs in the country. In 2005-06, he was the lead assistant on a team that made a run all the way to the Final Four in Jackson, TN. During his span as an assistant, his coaching and recruiting skills were primary reasons why The Master's College was a perennial GSAC title contender, and a regular in the NAIA Top 25, as well as a seven-time participant in the NAIA National Tournament.
In 2008, Dan took over The Master’s women’s basketball team and has led them through 2 seasons of being ranked in the NAIA top 25. His up-tempo, pressure philosophy, continues to provide a unique, fun, family atmosphere for his collegiate program.
Born and raised in San Jose, CA, Dan received his B.S. in Business in Administration in 1997. After running his own financial planning practice from ’97-’02, Waldeck joined the full-time staff at The Master’s College in 2002. He consistently uses the game of basketball to teach life changing lessons, and has enjoyed not only successes on the court, but counts the spiritual and life-changing victories of his athletes among the most precious in his tenure.
Dan met his wife Cindy at The Master’s, and they were married in 1998. They have two children, Tori (8) & Braelyn (5), and are in the process of adopting two more children from Haiti. A life-long learner, Waldeck is currently pursuing his MA in Sports Management through the United States Sports Academy.
Dan wears his “walk with the Lord” on his sleeves, and is excited about the ministry at Crossover International, and all that God is doing here. He excitedly awaits God’s continued direction and blessing on Crossover’s ministry.
