About Us :: Vision
"The Vision that the Lord has birthed for Crossover International, Inc. is right on target with the Great Commission. One of the neat things about the Great Commission is that there are so many unique roles that Christ followers can play within that calling. Furthermore, in this day and age, we are so blessed with a diversity of methods, and platforms that can be used to proclaim the gospel message. Here at Crossover, God has laid on our hearts to use a sport, specifically basketball, as our platform for going into all the world to preach the gospel, and make disciples of all nations... (Matthew 28:18-20 and Mark 16:15-16).
Our organization is all about expanding God’s Kingdom. We want people to experience true life-change that can only be accomplished through relationship with Jesus Christ. The Word of God tells us in John 5:24 that a crossover from death to life is made when an individual receives Jesus Christ into his/her life. In basketball, a crossover move is the action that initiates a change in direction. Jesus Christ is the source for an eternal crossover that initiates life-change. What a message! A message that we hope continually shines to everyone that comes across the organization of Crossover.
God is the author of the vision. Everyone that is involved with the organization of Crossover has simply caught a glimpse of His vision. For those of us in leadership, we have been called to be caretakers of His vision. We have taken ownership of God’s vision while at the same time relying on His leading and direction to accomplish it. As we move forward keeping our eyes fixed on Him, we continually seek ways that God’s Vision for Crossover can be applied and expanded. We know that we serve a BIG God who is capable of doing exceedingly and abundantly more than we could ever ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We have the faith that God will continue to develop the ministry of Crossover in accordance with the many things He wants Crossover to do for His kingdom. Meanwhile, we will persistently challenge ourselves to think and dream big in light of a vision that is already bigger than anything we could ever have come up with on our own!
May everything that we do lift up the name of Jesus Christ, and give God the ultimate glory!"
